African Scops Owl
The African Scops Owl (Otus senegalensis) is a small owl endemic to sub-Saharan Africa. The African Scops Owl has a distinctive "prrrp" call which occurs around every 5 seconds: The African scops owl is around 17cm in height and lives on a diet of spiders and insects. The African scops owl produces 4-6 eggs throughout April and June. Incubation about 27 days. Their young fledged in 30 days.
