Red Shining Parrot, Fiji

The red shining-parrot, Prosopeia tabuensis, is a species of parrot in the family Psittaculidae. It is endemic to the islands of Vanua Levu and Taveuni in Fiji and was introduced to the islands of southern Tonga in prehistoric times. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical mangrove forests.
